Why ROKH

The past remains alive when it has the power to shape the future.

We are heirs to a culture shaped by thousands of years of thought, art, knowledge, and imagination. At the same time, the world is moving toward the future at an unprecedented pace, with technology and artificial intelligence continuously redefining the boundaries of what is possible.

ROKH was born from the desire to connect these two worlds—a place where the past is neither confined to a frame nor merely repeated, but becomes a source of inspiration for new forms of creation.

Yet not every work deserves a place within this vision. I believe originality of perspective, depth of thought, and mastery of execution should guide our selection—not simply the subject of an artwork or the reputation of its creator. ROKH should be shaped by artists who take responsibility for the quality and integrity of what they create.

My aspiration is to build a space where cultural understanding leads to meaningful opportunities—opportunities for discovery, for creation, for earning a living, and for collaborations whose impact extends far beyond a single exhibition or transaction.

Founder of ROKH

ROKH was initiated by Hamidreza Edalatnia, a creative systems designer based in Hamburg and the founder of HENIA Studio (opens in a new tab), whose practice brings together architectural imagery, film, digital design and AI-assisted creative systems. That creative and technical experience informs ROKH’s aim to connect cultural understanding with opportunities for discovery and artistic authorship. As the app develops, artists and cultural partners are invited to help shape an archive that holds the past and the present together.
