A living world of Persian culture.

What you can discover

Many doorways into one culture.

ROKH is an app for discovering and collecting Iranian culture through digital cards. It brings art, history, mythology, architecture, literature, science and contemporary creativity into one place. From Persepolis and the stories of the Shahnameh to Persian miniature painting and ideas in engineering, each collection opens a different path into the culture.

Each card pairs an artwork with a cultural note in Persian and English. The image draws you in; the note introduces the person, place, object or idea behind it, and explains its context. A familiar landmark can reveal a detail you have never considered, while an unfamiliar name can become the beginning of a new interest.

Collecting gives those encounters a personal shape. You choose the cards that matter to you and bring them together into a collection that reflects your interests: perhaps architecture, the imagination of a myth, or the work of a particular artist. You can begin with curiosity alone. A small, considered collection can hold as much meaning as a large one.

ROKH is being built as a cultural archive that people can help shape. Its ambition is to connect collecting with artistic authorship, giving artists a place to contribute new interpretations with lasting attribution. The past and the present belong together here: inherited stories sit alongside the people creating Iranian culture today.

How it works

Three steps, at your own pace.

  1. Discover

Encounter art, stories, people and ideas.

  2. Choose

    Keep what matters to you.

  3. Curate

Build a collection that reflects your perspective.

Why ROKH

Culture continues through the people who make it.

I started ROKH because I want Iranian culture to be part of everyday curiosity: something we encounter, spend time with and make our own connections to. Its history matters, and so do the artists giving it new forms today.

My ambition is to build a place where discovering culture brings lasting recognition to its creators, and where thoughtful partnerships can help new work happen. ROKH should grow through the quality of those encounters and the relationships behind them.

Founder of ROKH

For artists

A place for your work in Iranian culture.

ROKH is preparing collaborations with artists whose work offers a distinctive perspective on Iranian culture. We want to connect that work with curious audiences through credited collections, cultural storytelling and artist profiles.

We are also exploring funded projects with cultural partners. Each confirmed opportunity will explain its scope, compensation and usage terms before an artist commits.

Existing work is welcome
The first conversations can begin with work you have already made. A new commission would have its own brief and agreed terms.
Your authorship stays visible
Collaborations are intended to include your name, a short introduction and a link to your professional work.
Permissions come first
Selection considers artistic quality and cultural fit. Credits, permissions and any project fee are agreed before publication; commercial reuse needs a separate agreement.

Founding collaborations are in preparation. Formal submission details will follow.

For cultural partners

Help bring a cultural project to life.

We welcome conversations with museums, foundations, publishers and organisations interested in supporting Iranian creativity. Together, we can develop focused projects around artists, cultural subjects and new ways of encountering their work.

A partnership begins with a defined cultural purpose. Each proposal would set out the artists involved, the work to be produced, its publication format, acknowledgement of support, agreed content permissions and project reporting.

We are currently exploring our first cultural partnerships.
